Biography

As President of DMI Companies, Douglas Gudenburr oversees the organization, sets strategic goals, and ensures the company’s long-term success by working closely with the DMI Board of Directors and his senior executive team to make key decisions that impact and guide the company’s future.

Doug joined DMI in 1982 and advanced through a variety of positions, such as Production Manager and Plant Manager, before becoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2017 after serving more than 15 years as Director of Operations.

Throughout his tenure, he made significant contributions to product development, earning seven patents, and played extensive roles in sales and customer service. As part of the management team, he directly participated in the acquisition of five separate manufacturing companies and was directly responsible for leading the establishment and startup of four additional manufacturing facilities in various parts of the country.

Doug is dedicated to the advancement of Industry 4.0 initiatives within the organization and the development and adoption of the newly formed IT/OT department to further DMI’s desire to enhance its world class manufacturer and Lean enterprise status.

Doug is a strong advocate for workforce development and has been instrumental in implementing DMI’s workforce development and community engagement programs to promote manufacturing careers for young people.
